Biography
I grew up in Ottawa, Ontario. I began playing soccer competitively quite young. By 16 I had grown tired of team sports, specifically the reality that my efforts were not always reflected in the outcome. Powerlifting caught my eye because outcomes in this sport are a direct result of your efforts, and the small variables outside your control are few and far between. So I went all in and became obsessed with the process of getting stronger, obsessed with the process of overcoming hardship. Ten years later I'm still here chasing my goal of becoming the best lifter in Canada. This sport has provided me with so many valuable lessons I carry forward into other aspects of my life: patience, persistence, and faith that things will work out for the best. I am forever grateful to this sport, the friends I've made along the way, and my sponsors for supporting me as I chase my dreams.  

What is your favourite lifting memory?
Winning gold on bench at 2023 IPF Open Classic World Championship.

What is one piece of advice you have for up and coming athletes getting into strength training or strength sport?
Keep stacking small wins. THEY WILL ADD UP.

What is your favourite lift or event?
Bench has been my favorite lift since I started powerlifting.

What is your favourite product and why?
13mm Belt
I’ve been using the same 13mm SBD belt since I started powerlifting 7 years ago. It offers the support I need. Over the 7 years it has held up incredibly and I have no plans to retire it.

T-shirt
The 10mm belt has been a game changer for my deadlift, the more flexible belt allows me to get into a much better position. The powerlifting sleeves keep my knees feeling great. All SBD shirt are made high quality and last for years. I still wear SBD shirts from over 5 years ago.

Classic
This was the first colourway I bought when I started powerlifting, I’ve stuck to it ever since.
