Biography
I was born and raised on Prince Edward Island, Canada. I got involved with powerlifting in November 2022 at 14 years old. At the time, I had already been training regularly at the gym for a while, but the competitive side of me wanted to find a way to incorporate lifting into a sport. Turns out there was powerlifting, and the community was huge.

A few years later, I have 7 meets under my belt, along with 2 national championships and 1 world championship. I hold 3 national records for the squat, deadlift, and total in the 83kg sub-junior category. I had self-coached myself as an athlete for a few years, but I got in contact with my coach, Lyle Babin, before 2025 nationals. After training under his guidance for a little over a year, we have managed to put 168kg onto my total since then.

Although powerlifting has become a huge part of my life, there is many other hobbies I have developed along the road. I am still a full time student from the graduating class of 2026. I am also a part time musician, playing trumpet for 6 years and part of many school and local community bands. Throughout my busy life, I cannot thank my mom and dad enough for supporting my journeys and adventures along the way.

What is your favourite lifting memory?
My favourite lifting memory was my 2025 IPF Sub-junior World Championship experience in San Jose, Costa Rica. I made so many new friends and connections across the globe along side competing at the highest level of my sport.

What is one piece of advice you have for up and coming athletes getting into strength training or strength sport?
Trust the Process. Not just powerlifting, but training itself is not an overnight process. The result is never what you should look forward to, rather the journey getting there. Fall in love with the training and connections because it will take you farther than you ever thought you would make it.

What is your favourite lift or event?
Can’t beat squats. Nothing like a slow grind that makes you question whether you’ll stand up or not. But when you do, it is the best feeling.

What is your favourite product and why?
13mm Belt
A staple in powerlifting, the SBD 13mm lever belt is the gold standard. When you walk into the room with SBD, people know you mean business.

What 3 other items are your go to and why?
Powerlifting Knee Sleeves
Singlet
Lifting Straps
SBD powerlifting knee sleeves are a must for a big squat for me. Pushing the limits means all support necessary.

SBD’s singlets are a must not just for competing, but training to competition standard. Along with looking stylish whether you’re in the original red and black, or your national singlet, every rep feels like you are on the platform.

SBD’s lifting straps are there for you when your hands give out, but your body doesn’t. SBD’s lifting straps help push your deadlifts and other movements so that you get the last ounces of your strength put into the lift.

What colourway is your favourite and why?
Classic
I am able to match the original red and black colours a lot with my outfits, and it matches the colour schemes of my gym and it’s plates.

Why do you believe SBD is the gear all athletes should use?
SBD is the highest quality of powerlifting. When you think of powerlifting, you think of SBD. Nothing beats it.

Why do you believe in working with SBD Canada as a Sponsored Athlete?
SBD Canada has been an amazing sponsor not just when it comes to supporting me as an athlete specifically, but supporting every level of competition and sponsoring national teams. SBD Canada is here to help you grow and get stronger together as a country.
