Biography
I was born in Regina Saskatchewan as the youngest member of a family of competitive athletes and was always encouraged to participate in a variety of different sports. Like many Canadians, I was involved in hockey at a young age, but later transitioned to speed skating as my first exposure to individual sport. My athletics continued with football in high school where I took particular interest in my Combine performance and began training with serious intent.

My enthusiasm for lifting was cultivated through my parent’s involvement in the fitness community. As owner of Level 10 Fitness and Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, my Dad gave me the tools to develop my strength, while my mom, a physiotherapist, helped me navigate some of the setbacks throughout my training.

In university, although I chose to not play football, I continued with my training but very soon began to miss the competitive aspect of sport. It was in January of 2024 that I reached out to Danny Heintz with Bridge City Barbell and committed to the sport of powerlifting.

As a full time student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan, I train out of Rise Strength Lab in Saskatoon and return to my home at Level 10 Fitness when in Regina. I also frequent Trench Fitness in Regina for their specialized equipment.

Over the last two years of working with Danny, I have achieved so much more than I thought possible. My proudest achievement in the sport thus far, was setting the Junior Pan American as well as Junior and Open Canadian squat record of 325 kgs (716 lbs) at the 2025 NAPF Regional Powerlifting Championships.

With the intent to educate and share the progress I have made, I re-established the University of Saskatchewan Powerlifting Club, where I now serve as President to a strong and motivated group of athletes.

Outside of Powerlifting and school, my interests include creative distractions like building Lego MOCs and wood carving as well as a mild obsession with the Lord of the Rings and Transformers (G1 in particular).

What is your favourite lifting memory?
My favourite lifting memory was pulling 262.5 kg on my third attempt at my first powerlifting meet. I had always struggled with the deadlift, both physically and mentally, and that lift represented breaking through a barrier I had carried for a long time. I was so excited afterward that I nearly threw my coach Danny.

What is one piece of advice you have for up and coming athletes getting into strength training or strength sport?
Have an aspirational mindset. Rather than being discouraged by elite athletes lifting unfathomable weights, see their success as a benchmark of what’s possible through discipline and consistency. Focus on progressing your own strength and becoming the best version of yourself.

What is your favourite lift or event?
Squat.

What is your favourite product and why?
Beanie
The windchill in Saskatchewan is no joke!

What 3 other items are your go to and why?
13mm Belt
Powerlifting Knee Sleeves
Stiff Large Wrist Wraps
For me, a quality belt is a must for maintaining a proper brace during the squat and deadlift. Knee sleeves provide essential compression and support, helping keep my knees stable under load. Similarly, wrist wraps support my wrists during heavy lifts, allowing me to train and compete with confidence and consistency.

What colourway is your favourite and why?
Resolve
Green is the colour, football is the game, we're all together and winning is our aim.

Why do you believe SBD is the gear all athletes should use?
I believe SBD sets the gold standard for performance gear. Every piece is built with purpose and reliability. When athletes train and compete at a high level, they need gear they can trust. SBD delivers that.

Why do you believe in working with SBD Canada as a Sponsored Athlete?
I believe in working with SBD Canada because it allows me to represent a brand that reflects my commitment to excellence, discipline, and growth. SBD Canada aligns with my long-term goals as an athlete and supports the pursuit of continual improvement.
