Biography
I started training strongman in late winter of 2018. At the time, I was looking for a reason to push myself in the gym, and strongman caught my eye. Since 2018, I've received my Canadian pro status (2019), been to Canada's Strongest Man twice (2021 & 2023), and most recently won the 2023 Magnus Classic in Iceland.

I currently train out of United Strength and Power in Edmonton, AB, of which I am also a Co-owner. Creating a community space for everyone to train at, is part of the way I'm giving back to the community. I also volunteer at numerous strongman and powerlifting events throughout the year. I hosted my first strongman show in August 2023 and am excited to host more in the future.

From 2018 to the end of 2023, I was coached by Lary McEwen with Team Bigcat. Moving into 2024, I am looking forward to a new change, where I will be coached by JF Caron. While I love training and working at the gym, I do love to spend time with my wife (Anna) and our 2 cats and 2 dogs.

What is your favourite lifting memory?
Winning the 2023 Magnus Classic.

What is one piece of advice you have for up and coming athletes getting into strength training or strength sport?
Compete at as many shows as you can. You'll be amazed at how much you can learn watching the other athletes and being a part of the community.

What is your favourite lift or event?
Hercules hold.

What is your favourite product and why?
13mm Belt
The belt is unmatched in its design and durability. By far the best fitting and feeling belt I've owned.

Lifting Straps
The knee sleeves are durable and assist with stability. The large wrist wraps are great quality, stretchy and very comfortable to wear. The lifting straps, although brand new, are a great design and a staple in a strongman's gym bag.

What colourway is your favourite and why?
Classic
Red and Black is a classic. So far my favourite colourway produced.

Why do you believe SBD is the gear all athletes should use?
