Biography
I am from Toronto, Ontario and I am currently in Law School in New York. Outside of training, I am an absolute hockey fanatic, and when I have time, I enjoy playing video games.
I have been powerlifting for almost 11 years, with my first competition being in November 2014. I got into lifting after a near life threatening illness which left me severely underweight and frail. I found lifting because I wanted to affect a change while getting bigger and stronger. I was doing general bodybuilding, but I really enjoyed squatting, benching, and deadlifting and subsequently found powerlifting.
Throughout my years as a powerlifter, I wasn’t “good.” Meaning, I never won any significant competition, often barely placing in the top 10 at various Provincial or National meets.
However, In 2019, I began to hit a stride and I won CPU Nationals as a 74kg Junior which punched my ticket to IPF Worlds in Helsingborg, Sweden. There, I placed 5th and got Deadlift Gold. In 2021, I won the 74kg class at the NAPF Championships in Orlando. In 2022, I was selected to represent Canada again in the Open 74kg class, where I placed 5th.
Apart from my accolades, I believe my greatest personal accomplishment as an athlete is my sense of resilience. On two separate occasions, I was able to recover from a torn groin and able to come out on the other side a stronger and more mature athlete.

What is your favourite product and why?
13mm Belt
I have been using it since early in my lifting career and it's the best belt I have ever used.
What 2 other items are your go to and why?
Powerlifting Knee Sleeves
Flexible Medium Wrist Wraps
I have been using both the wrist wraps and knee sleeves since 2013. They were among the first purchases I ever made. The knee sleeves are so durable, I still have my original pair of knee sleeves I bought in 2013.
What colourway is your favourite and why?
Phantom
It's clean.
Why do you believe SBD is the gear all athletes should use?
I find the belt gives the best support, the wrist wraps and Knee sleeves are very durable and secure.
I have been using SBD since I first started powerlifting. I have tried almost every other brand of wrist wraps, belts and many knee sleeves and SBD is by far my favourite.
