Biography
I’ve been competing in strongman since 2018, turned Professional by winning the Amateur National Championship in 2021. I got into the sport by coincidence while scrolling through Facebook. I noticed there was a competition in Saskatoon and I’ve never looked back since.
My biggest accomplishment thus far has been winning western Canada's Strongest Man in 2023, and most recently deadlifting 905lbs. I train out of my Snap Fitness in Moose Jaw during the week and then train at Mettle (Regina) for my strongman events on the weekends. I’ve been with my coach Terry Rady for 2 years now where we’ve constantly been top 5 in most competitions since working together.
I practically live and sleep strongman, if I’m not competing or training I’m at home doing recovery work or watching old competitions to analyze techniques of other competitors. None of this would be possible if it wasn’t for the massive support of my wife Keelan.
What is your favourite lifting memory?
Becoming Western Canada's Strongest Man.
What is one piece of advice you have for up and coming athletes getting into strength training or strength sport?
Don’t be afraid to sign up for more competitions, you will gain so much more knowledge, experience, make memories and new friends.
What is your favourite lift or event?
Atlas Stones
What is your favourite product and why?
13mm Belt
The 13mm belt is the only belt I trust while doing heavy events like yoke walk, deadlifts, farmers, etc. because I know I will be braced and well supported for the lifts.
What 3 other items are your go to and why?
Powerlifting Knee Sleeves
Flexible Medium Wrist Wraps
Elbow Sleeves
These items are pretty much worn on every single training session and competition day. Both the elbow and knee sleeves helps keep the joints warm to prevent any injury, and the flexible medium length wrist wraps help stack my wrist joint in an optimal position while doing any overhead pressing.
What colourway is your favourite and why?
Phantom
I think it’s a very sleek looking colour way
Why do you believe SBD is the gear all athletes should use?
All products that I use on a daily based have lasted and withstood my training regimes, and all the best strength athletes use SBD.
I believe SBD takes care of their athletes while consistently bringing new products to their line up and never compromising quality.
