Biography
I started lifting in the Spring of 2018, after being introduced to Powerlifting through some friends at the gym.
My biggest accomplishment in the sport is becoming National champion.
I live on my family farm in rural Ontario, and train out of a home gym, which is a converted grain silo, with my wife Paige.
What is your favourite lifting memory?
My first time totalling over 2000lbs was a huge milestone for me.
What is one piece of advice you have for up and coming athletes getting into strength training or strength sport?
Stay consistent, progress takes time.
What is your favourite lift or event?
Squat
What is your favourite product and why?
13mm Belt
It is easily adjustable and has variable sizing.
What 3 other items are your go to and why?
Powerlifting Knee Sleeves
Flexible Large Wrist Wraps
Socks
Powerlifting knee sleeves are very supportive but also very comfortable. The flexible large wrist wraps are supportive but not too restrictive. The SBD socks are tough and built to last.
What colourway is your favourite and why?
Momentum
Black goes with everything and it is slimming for us larger gentlemen.
Why do you believe SBD is the gear all athletes should use?
SBD produces top notch equipment and they give a lot back to the sport.
Why do you believe in working with SBD Canada as a Sponsored Athlete?
SBD is a big supporter of the sport and its athletes. The sport has come forward a lot in the last few years, and I feel that SBD is a big part of why that has been possible. From sponsorship to putting on meets, they are always involved. Their hands on approach is something that I appreciate and something that I want to be a part of.
